Join the Galveston Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening at our 3rd Annual Juneteenth Concert: Voices Unbound—a moving tribute to freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of African American heritage.

This year’s performance once again features the Galveston Heritage Chorale, founded by cherished local historian and musician Izola Collins and conducted by Melissa Dightman. The program will spotlight Collins' powerful original work, Galveston Survives, alongside a rich tapestry of compositions by trailblazing Black composers, including George Walker, Scott Joplin, Florence Price, Edmond Dédé, and others whose works have shaped American music.
